Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf has been tested positive for Covid-19 ahead of the first Test against Australia, starting from March 4.

The 28-year-old returned positive (Rapid Antigen Test) after he was shifted to the bio-secure bubble for the Test series. The remaining members of the Test squad have tested negative.

The tests were taken in the morning. Test reports of all the members, including Haris came when they were practicing at the Pindi Cricket Stadium. Haris was moved to isolation from the ground after the team doctor received Covid-19 reports.

All the members of the squad were tested again after arriving at the hotel.

Haris and other members became part of the Test squad yesterday. They joined the squad after the conclusion of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season seven which was won by Lahore Qalandars on Sunday.

Remember, Pakistan's Test squad has already been marred with injuries. Mohammad Nawaz has been ruled out of the series due to a foot injury while pacer Hasan Ali (abductor strain) and all-rounder Faheem Ashraf (hamstring strain) are sidelined from the first Test due to respective injuries.

It must be noted that the Test series opener between Pakistan and Rawalpindi will start from March 4. Australia will play three Tests, three ODIs and a T20I against Pakistan. Rawalpindi will host the Test series opener and white-ball leg while Karachi and Lahore will host the second and third Test respectively.
