Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf suffered from a shoulder injury during the match against Karachi Kings in the ongoing Pakistan Super League season nine.

Rauf's central contract was also terminated just two days before the commencement of PSL.

According to details, the PCB terminated Rauf's central contract on February 15th, along with imposing a ban on participating in any foreign leagues until June 30th.

After ten days he suffered a shoulder injury, leading to his exclusion from the HBL PSL as well. Rauf participated in four matches before his injury and is expected to take 4 to 6 weeks to recover fully.

Sources have reported that after the injury, Rauf is undergoing treatment with Lahore Qalandars' franchise as Qalandars is bearing all the treatment expenses. While a senior PCB official expressed concern and inquired about his health, no financial assistance was mentioned. Similarly, the medical panel also didn't give any advice themselves.

On the other hand, Rauf has filed an appeal against the punishment, stating that cricket holds immense importance in his life.  Having not played red-ball cricket for quite some time, he had some reservations about going to Australia. This does not at all imply that he prioritizes leagues over his country. He also requested the board to reinstate his contract.  Furthermore, a decision will be made after reviewing the appeal, but the possibility of regaining his contract seems bright.

It is worth noting that Rauf is considered one of Pakistan's important bowlers in white-ball cricket, and high expectations are associated with him for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
