Pakistan's fast bowler Haris Rauf has been named the ICC Men's Player of the Month for November 2024 after playing a key role in his team's historic series win in Australia.
Rauf was in excellent form throughout the month, taking a total of 18 wickets across different formats. His standout performance came during Pakistan's ODI series against Australia, where he claimed 10 wickets in three matches, helping Pakistan win their first ODI series in Australia in 22 years.
The most memorable moment came in the second ODI, when Pakistan was trailing 1-0 in the three-match series. Rauf delivered a brilliant pace-bowling performance in Adelaide, taking 5 wickets for just 29 runs. His efforts helped bowl Australia out for only 163 runs, and Pakistan won the match by 9 wickets, leveling the series.
Rauf's performance continued in the decisive third ODI, where he took two more wickets and was named Player of the Series, as Pakistan clinched a 2-1 series win.
In addition to his success in Australia, Rauf also performed well in the T20I series that followed, taking 5 wickets, including a four-wicket haul in Sydney. Later, on Pakistan's tour of Zimbabwe, he picked up 3 more wickets in three ODIs, helping his team secure a 2-1 series victory.
Rauf's impressive performances in November earned him the Player of the Month award, beating India’s Jasprit Bumrah and South Africa’s Marco Jansen to the honor.
