Chief Selector Mohammad Wasim has revealed that left-handed batsman Haris Sohail has been recalled to strengthen the middle-order, which has been an area of concern for Pakistan’s ODI side.

While addressing the post-selection press conference, Wasim said that Haris has regained the fitness required for the 50-over format.

“Haris Sohail has reclaimed the required fitness standards. Middle-order is an area of concern, which is why we have made changes to strengthen that area,” Wasim said.

“We selected Saud Shakeel for South Africa ODIs but he got injured at last moment, so he has also made his comeback. Asif Ali was only his replacement on that tour,” he added.
