Haris Sohail is likely to miss the first One Day International (ODI) between Pakistan and New Zealand, set to take place on Thursday at Pindi Cricket Stadium.

Sohail landed awkwardly on his left shoulder during a fielding drill on Wednesday.

His initial scans at a local hospital were satisfactory. The medical team will assess him before the first ODI tomorrow to determine if he can play.

The team doctor has advised Sohail to rest and recover to avoid aggravating the injury further.

Shan Masood was also hit on his finger during practice. However, his injury is not serious and he is likely to be available for the first ODI.

On Monday, wicketkeeper-batter, Mohammad Haris, was also included in Pakistan ODI squad for the five-match series against New Zealand.
