During the County Championship match between Warwickshire and Surrey, the Pakistani fast bowler, Hasan Ali, reached a milestone of 300 wickets in first-class cricket.

He accomplished this in his 75th match by taking 3 wickets for 49 runs in 15.1 overs in the first innings.

Ali, who is 28 years old, has represented Pakistan in 22 Tests, 60 ODIs, and 50 T20Is throughout his career, claiming more than 200 wickets in international cricket since his debut in 2016.

During his first interview after joining Warwickshire, Ali had expressed his determination to make a significant impact during his time at the County club, following his successful stint in the LV= Insurance County Championship last year.

“Firstly, I would like to say thank you to the management of Warwickshire,” said Ali.

“They have given me an opportunity to be here and play for them and it’s always a pleasure to be here," he added.

The right-arm pacer had also emphasized the importance of county cricket, citing legendary Pakistan cricketers Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, and Saqlain Mushtaq as his inspiration.

“I had a good experience last year when I was playing for Lancashire. I enjoyed my time there and I want to play more county cricket. When I was growing up, legends like Wasim Akram Waqar Younis and Saqlain Mushtaq were always talking about county cricket," he said.

He had expressed his excitement at the prospect of playing some exciting cricket and delivering good performances for Warwickshire during his time with the club.

“They always said that if you’re going to get a chance to play county cricket, you should go there. I feel lucky being here and I’m looking forward to some exciting cricket and good performance," he concluded.
