Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali is delighted with the return of fast-bowlers Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Amir , in the Men in Green 2019 International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup squad.

According to a video released by the official ICC Twitter account, Ali said that the return of experienced campaigners, Amir and Riaz, will prove beneficial for the side.

“Their inclusion in the squad is a great sign for Pakistan cricket,” said Ali. “Wahab has the experience of playing in World Cup before while Amir is a world class bowler.”

He also spoke about the impact this will have on the young pacers in the side by stating: “Youngsters like Mohammad Hasnain and Shaheen Shah Afridi will benefit from their presence in the squad.”

He added: “My experience is also less as compared to those of Amir and Riaz.”

Pakistan will play two warm-up matches before the beginning of the 2019 World Cup, against Afghanistan and Bangladesh. They will officially begin their World Cup campaign against West Indies on May 31. The tournament is scheduled to kickstart on May 30, with the match between England and South Africa.
