Pakistan's opening batter, Hasan Nawaz, has made an unwanted record after scoring consecutive ducks in the first two matches of the five-match T20I series against New Zealand.
The 22-year-old made his debut for the Men in Green in the first T20I against New Zealand on March 16 in Christchurch. However, he failed to get off the mark, dismissed for a duck by New Zealand's Jacob Duffy. Pakistan went on to lose the match by nine wickets, with the team being bowled out for just 91 runs in 18.4 overs.
In the second T20I, Nawaz again fell to Duffy, this time also without scoring any runs. This marked his second consecutive duck in the series.
With his early exit from both matches, Hasan Nawaz joined an unwanted list of players who have recorded consecutive ducks in their first two international matches. He became the sixth batter to achieve this feat.
The young batter faced just five balls in total, without scoring a single run, and added his name to the list alongside his fellow countryman, Arshad Iqbal, who also had consecutive ducks in his first two T20I appearances.
