Haseebullah Khan among additional players called up for Pakistan Test camp

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to arrange a training camp for all the available players for the upcoming Test series against Australia.

The camp is set to commence from Thursday, which will feature the likes of Azhar Ali, Fawad Alam, Imam-ul-Haq, and all the other selected players who are currently not featuring in the ongoing edition of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Head Coach Saqlain Mushtaq will be overseeing the training progress along with batting coach Mohammad Yousuf, who will also be present at the training sessions.

The selected players who will be participating in the camp are as follows:

  • Azhar Ali (Central Punjab)
  • Fawad Alam (Sindh)
  • Imam-ul-Haq (Balochistan)
  • Nauman Ali (Northern)
  • Sajid Khan (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa)
  • Saud Shakeel (Sindh)
  • Zahid Mahmood (Sindh)

In order to assist with training, additional players have been called up which includes Pakistan U-19 Cricket World Cup star, Haseebullah Khan. The youngster recently became the first-ever player in U-19 World Cup history to smash two centuries in one edition of the tournament.

Here is the complete list of additional players who have been called up:

  • Aaliyan Mehmood (Sindh)
  • Ahmad Bashir (Central Punjab)
  • Ali Usman (Southern Punjab)
  • Arshadullah (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa)
  • Haseebullah (Balochistan)
  • Irfanullah Shah (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa)
  • Mohammad Ali (Central Punjab)
  • Raza-ul-Hasan (Balochistan)
  • Taj Wali (Balochistan)

The list of reserve players include:

  • Mohammad Abbas (Southern Punjab)
  • Yasir Shah (Balochistan)

The Australian cricket team recently announced their full-strength squad for the Pakistan tour, who will reach Pakistan on February 27 through a chartered flight.

The First Test match between both teams will take place from March 4 to March 8 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium whereas others will be played on March 12 and March 21 at National Stadium and Gadaffi Stadium respectively.

According to the information, the curators have prepared five outstanding wickets for the highly anticipated series which is going to suit both the batters and the bowlers.
