Peshawar Zalmi has dealt with another blow as captain Wahab Riaz and batter Haider Ali have tested positive for Covid-19.

According to details, Zalmi's four players are now under isolation. The franchise will soon announce partial replacements of these players.

Yesterday, wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal and pacer Arshad Iqbal tested positive for Covid-19. Opener Imam-ul-Haq and all-rounder Ammad Butt, from the reserve pool of players, were allowed to join Zalmi as a partial replacement.

On the other hand, Karachi Kings' director and mentor Wasim Akram also returned the positive Covid-19 Test after he returned from Legends League. Franchise representative opined that the Karachi Kings can neither confirm nor deny any COVID test results. That is the sole prerogative of the PCB

It must be noted that Zalmi will face Quetta Gladiators in their opening match of the campaign on January 28.
