All-rounder Moises Henriques’s half-century leads Sydney Sixers to a comfortable five-wicket win over Brisbane Heat in match 15 of the Big Bash League in Carrara on Tuesday.

Henriques hammered 57 of just 37 delivers with help of five boundaries and two maximum in chasing 164-run target and helped the team in getting over the line with three balls to spare.

The haft-century overshadowed Heat captain Chris Lynn’s fighting 84-run knock — which he scored off just 55 balls with the help of three fours and five sixes.

Batting first after losing the toss, the Heat lost three quick wickets, but Lynn led from the front helped his team in posting a competitive total of 164 for the loss of seven wickets.

For the Sixers, right-arm pacer Tom Curran claimed three wickets for just 25 runs in his four-over spell.  Steve O'Keefe, Ben Dwarshuis, Sean Abbott and Joe Denly bagged a wicket each.

Chasing, 165, the Sixers get over the line thanks to brilliant knocks by captain Henriques and a responsible knock from Jordan Silk.

Right-handed Silk played a cameo of 46 off just 25 balls with the help of three fours and two sixes.

With this victory, Sixers moved to second spot on the points table with six points, whereas Heat are yet to open their account in the competition.

For his outstanding batting performance, Lynn was named player of the match.
