As the Champions Trophy 2025 draws near, cricket fans around the world are eagerly anticipating the return of this prestigious tournament. However, several key players face injury concerns that could jeopardize their participation.

Australia’s captain Pat Cummins is battling persistent ankle pain, while fast bowler Josh Hazlewood is recovering from a calf injury and a side strain. India’s pace leader Jasprit Bumrah is still recovering from a back injury, and left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav is working hard to regain full fitness after a groin injury.

For Pakistan, young batter Saim Ayub has been ruled out for up to six weeks after suffering a fractured ankle. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sent him to London for specialized treatment in hopes of speeding up his recovery.

South Africa’s pace duo Gerald Coetzee and Lungi Ngidi are also in the midst of intense rehabilitation for groin injuries.

The Champions Trophy will feature eight teams, split into two groups. The tournament will begin on February 19 in Karachi, with Pakistan facing New Zealand in the opening match. A thrilling clash between Pakistan and India is set for February 23 in Dubai.
