A lot has happened since BCCI secretary Jay Shah, the Asian Cricket Council president, confirmed that India would not be traveling to Pakistan for the Asia Cup next year and that the event would take place at a neutral venue.
Following this, the Pakistan Cricket Board issued a statement stating that the decision was made without consulting ACC members. The board stated that it could affect Pakistan's participation in the 2023 World Cup, which is scheduled to be held in India. It is a hot topic, with cricket veterans voicing their opinions.

India captain Rohit Sharma was questioned during a press conference he attended on Saturday. In response, the player stated that the Indian team is focused on the T20 World Cup and their upcoming match against Pakistan on October 23.
"Let's focus on this World Cup because it is important for us. We are not worried about what's going to happen later. There is no point in thinking about it; the BCCI will make decisions. We are just thinking about being focused on tomorrow's game," said Rohit.
The Indian team, led by Rohit, will open its T20 World Cup campaign in Australia against arch-rivals Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The following day, on October 27, India will take on the Netherlands, followed by South Africa on October 30. Their next two matches will be on November 2 against Bangladesh and November 6 against Zimbabwe.
