Pakistan has clinched a momentous series win over New Zealand after beating the tourists by 26 runs, breaking a 12-year jinx against the Kiwis at National Bank Cricket Arena on Wednesday.
This victory also added a unique record to Babar Azam's portfolio, as he became the only ODI captain to win bilateral series against three out of four SENA countries.
Congratulating the team and appreciating their performance as well as unity, the former Pakistan all-rounder took over his Twitter and had only nice and uplifting things to say about the Men in Green.
Team 🇵🇰 winning the series is great to see, and match winning performances with the bat and ball shows the strength of our team and sets high expectations for the upcoming World Cup. I love the unity the boys have and show in the field.

The team now have set their sights on a loftier goal - winning the remaining two matches on Friday and Sunday.
If they succeed, they will climb from fifth to first place on the ICC ODI Team Rankings, a feat they have never accomplished before. This will surpass their previous best ranking of third place in January 2007.
