Himanshu Sangwan faces backlash after aggressive celebration following Virat Kohli's wicket

The excitement surrounding Virat Kohli’s return to the Ranji Trophy quickly faded after he was dismissed for just 6 runs by Railways pacer Himanshu Sangwan on January 30. Kohli’s fans, disappointed by his early exit, lashed out on social media, but in a mix-up, they targeted the wrong person with the same name.

Kohli made his much-anticipated return to the Ranji Trophy after 12 years, receiving an overwhelming amount of support from fans who packed the Arun Jaitley Stadium to see him play. As Railways batted first, Kohli had plenty of time to settle in. On Day 2 of the match, he came to the crease following the dismissal of Yash Dhull.

However, the excitement surrounding his return was short-lived. Kohli was bowled out by a brilliant delivery from Himanshu Sangwan, managing only 6 runs off 12 balls. To celebrate the wicket, Sangwan let out an animated roar, which did not sit well with Kohli’s supporters.

In the aftermath, many Kohli fans took to social media to express their anger towards Sangwan for his celebration. However, in a case of mistaken identity, several individuals with the name "Himanshu Sangwan" were targeted online, even though they had no connection to the incident. 

One such user took to social media to clarify the confusion and to let people know that he was not the Railways bowler responsible for Kohli's wicket.
