The IPL playoffs are very intense, where mistakes can end a team's journey. The top four teams from the league stage compete in four key matches.

Firstly, the top two teams play in Qualifier 1. The third and fourth-placed teams face off in the Eliminator. If a team loses in the Eliminator, they are out of the competition.  The winner of the Eliminator moves on to Qualifier 2.

Winning the IPL from the Eliminator is tough, needing three straight wins, and only one team has done it: SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) in 2016, led by David Warner.

In 2016, SRH finished third, behind Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). They beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 22 runs in the Eliminator and then won against Gujarat Lions in Qualifier 2.

In the final at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, SRH defeated RCB by eight runs to win their first title. Since then, only KKR in 2021 has made it to the final from the Eliminator.

Now, Rajasthan Royals (RR) are close to repeating SRH's success. They finished third on net run rate and won against RCB in the Eliminator in Ahmedabad. Next, they will play SRH in Qualifier 2 in Chennai on Friday, May 24, for a chance to reach their third IPL final. KKR has already secured their spot in the final after beating SRH in Qualifier 1.

RR, led by Sanju Samson, must keep winning to stay in the game. The remaining teams face high pressure, making the competition tough and even.
