Right-handed batter, Mohammad Huraira, has etched his name into the annals of cricket history by scoring a double century for Pakistan Shaheens against Bangladesh A in Darwin, Australia.

This remarkable feat on Saturday places him among an elite group of batters who have achieved a First-Class double century in Australia.

Huraira's outstanding innings of 218 runs from 247 deliveries, adorned with 28 fours and one six, powered Pakistan Shaheens to a commanding total of 467/3 declared.

His achievement marks him as only the third Pakistani to score a First-Class double ton on Australian soil, joining the ranks of current Test captain Shan Masood and former skipper Azhar Ali.

Additionally, Huraira is now the ninth Asian batter to accomplish this feat, sharing the honor with cricket legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Ravi Shastri.

This double century is Huraira’s third 200-plus score in just 39 First-Class matches, highlighting his growing reputation as a prolific scorer.

His partnership with Kamran Ghulam was instrumental in reaching the imposing total, as they added 204 runs together. Ghulam remained unbeaten with a century, contributing 100 runs off 161 balls, including 13 boundaries.

Bangladesh A's response saw them finishing the second day at 203/4, trailing by 264 runs. Shadman Islam Anik and Aich Mollah stabilized their innings with a crucial 153-run partnership after early setbacks.

Shadman Islam scored 88 runs off 167 deliveries before falling to Shahnawaz Dahani, while Mollah added 70 runs off 113 balls before being run out by Sahibzada Farhan's sharp fielding.

As the match progresses, Bangladesh A will rely on Shahadat Hossain Dipu and Hasan Murad, who are currently at the crease, to bridge the gap and steer their team towards a more competitive position.
