Afghanistan’s opening batter Ibrahim Zadran delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 177 runs against England in the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 match at Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday. His powerful innings helped Afghanistan set a new record for their highest total in an ICC ODI tournament.
Zadran played a crucial role in his team’s must-win match, hitting 12 fours and six sixes in his 146-ball knock. His score of 177 is now the highest individual score in Champions Trophy history, surpassing England’s Ben Duckett, who had scored 165 against Australia earlier in the tournament at the same venue.
