The International Cricket Council on Friday announced 26 match officials for the opening matches of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday announced 26 match officials for the opening matches of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the West Indies and USA, starting June 1.

This includes 20 umpires and six match referees for the tournament's biggest edition yet, with 20 teams playing 55 matches across 28 days at nine venues.

The umpiring lineup features Richard Illingworth, last year's ICC Umpire of the Year, along with Kumar Dharmasena, Chris Gaffaney, and Paul Reiffel, all of whom officiated in the 2022 final between England and Pakistan.

The match referees' team includes Ranjan Madugalle, who officiated the 2022 Final, and Jeff Crowe, the most experienced T20 referee, having officiated in 175 matches. Andrew Pycroft, also among the elite, is one match away from reaching 150 T20Is.
