Pakistan and England will miss their warm-up matches due to a four-match T20I series from May 22 to May 30
The ICC has announced the schedule for the T20 World Cup 2024 warm-up matches, which will take place from Monday, May 27 to Saturday, June 1 across venues in the USA and Trinidad and Tobago.
The matches will be held at Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Texas, Broward County Stadium in Florida, Queen’s Park Oval, and Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago.
Pakistan and England will miss their warm-up matches as both teams are gearing up for a crucial four-match T20I series, slated to kick off on May 22 and end on May 30.
A total of 17 teams will participate in these warm-up games, including South Africa, who will play an intra-squad match on May 29 in Florida.
These fixtures, consisting of 20 overs per side, will not have international T20 status, allowing teams the flexibility to field all members of their 15-player squads.
In a change from the previous cycle, teams now have the option to play up to two warm-up matches, based on their arrival time at the event.
Among the highlights is the match between the West Indies and Australia at Queen’s Park Oval, Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday, May 30, which will be open to fans.
