The wait is finally over as the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is set to begin tomorrow in Pakistan. The opening match will see Pakistan take on New Zealand in Karachi, marking the start of a tournament.
Former President Asif Ali Zardari will be the guest of honor at the event.

An important meeting, chaired by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, took place at the Gaddafi Stadium, where a detailed review of the tournament's preparations and arrangements was conducted.
“We are fully prepared for the Champions Trophy tournament," said Mohsin Naqvi, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
"We are ensuring that all arrangements are of the highest international standard," he added.
Naqvi emphasized that all teams will be provided with world-class facilities during the tournament and that every effort will be made to ensure the comfort of cricket fans in the stadiums.
“It is a great honor for Pakistan to host an ICC tournament after 29 years,” Naqvi added.
“We will make sure the Champions Trophy is conducted in an exemplary manner and raise Pakistan’s standing in international cricket,” he concluded.
The meeting was attended by various PCB officials, including Advisor Aamer Mir, Chief Operating Officer Samir Ahmed, Director of Security, Director of Infrastructure, Director of HR and Administration, Director of Media and Communications, Head of IT, Head of Women’s Department, and other relevant authorities.
