ICC Champions Trophy final tickets sold out in no time

The final of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, scheduled for Sunday, March 9, at the Dubai International Stadium, has seen an overwhelming response from cricket fans, with all 25,000 tickets selling out quickly.

Ticket prices ranged from AED 250 for general admission to AED 12,000 for exclusive Sky Box hospitality, bringing in an estimated AED 9 million (around PKR 685 million) in revenue.

The fast sellout of tickets has been hailed as a clear reflection of the immense enthusiasm for the sport, with fans eager to be part of the tournament's grand finale. The Dubai stadium, with a seating capacity of approximately 25,000, will host spectators from around the world, creating an exciting atmosphere for the final match.

Ticket Sales Breakdown:

• General Admission (15,000 seats): AED 250–500, generating around AED 5.6 million.
• Premium and Pavilion Sections (5,000 seats): AED 500–1,200, contributing about AED 4.25 million.
• Hospitality (1,700 seats): AED 2,000–12,000, adding nearly AED 10.2 million.

Gates will open at 10:00 AM, with the final match set to begin at 1:00 PM. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy a smooth entry and soak up the thrilling atmosphere of one of cricket’s most awaited events.

India has already secured its place in the final after a victory over Australia, with Virat Kohli playing a crucial role. They will face the winner of the second semi-final, which is currently going on between New Zealand and South Africa in Lahore.

South Africa, still searching for their first ICC trophy since 1998, will be determined to defeat New Zealand in the semi-final. The two teams last met on February 10 in Lahore during a high-scoring Tri-Series match. With key bowlers like Kagiso Rabada, Marco Jansen, and Keshav Maharaj, South Africa is looking to push for the title.

South Africa reached the semi-finals after an unbeaten run in the group stage, winning two matches and having one game washed out due to rain. They began the tournament with a commanding 107-run win over Afghanistan, bowling them out for 208 while chasing 316. Their second match against Australia was washed out, but they secured a semi-final spot with a dominant seven-wicket win over England, chasing down 180.

New Zealand, meanwhile, won their first two matches against Pakistan and Bangladesh in the host country. However, they suffered a defeat to India in their final group-stage match in Dubai.
