A delegation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) evaluated the preparations for the event at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday.
Sarah Edgar, Senior Manager of Event Operations, and Aun Muhammad Zaidi, Manager of Event Operations, inspected various facilities at the historic stadium including the grounds, dressing rooms, and media accommodations.
They also assessed digital screens, VIP boxes, and the logistical route from the hotel to the stadium. The delegation will proceed to Islamabad for the final phase of inspection, including a visit to Rawalpindi Stadium on Wednesday.
Chris Tetley, ICC Head of Events, is expected to join the delegation in Islamabad on Wednesday. Meetings are scheduled with PCB Chief and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
Upon their return, the delegation will compile a report to be shared with the ICC and member nations.
Earlier on Monday, the delegation visited Karachi's National Stadium in the initial phase of inspections. Sources suggest satisfaction with PCB's preparations.
On the other hand, PCB Chief has also given assurances that Pakistan will host the event as per the schedule.
