The ICC has revealed the nominees for the Men’s Player of the Month for May 2025, spotlighting three outstanding performers who delivered match-winning efforts across formats. From blistering centuries to game-changing spells, these players left a strong impression on fans and selectors alike.

Scotland’s rising all-rounder Brandon McMullen was in red-hot form during the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2. The 25-year-old scored 233 runs in five ODIs at a strike rate of 107.87, averaging 58.25. With the ball, he picked up 10 wickets at an economy of 5.08.

His standout performance came against the Netherlands in Utrecht, where he smashed his fourth ODI century to guide Scotland to their highest-ever ODI total of 380/9. He followed it up with a 4-wicket haul, sealing a massive 145-run win.

Milind Kumar proved to be a game-changer for the USA with his all-round brilliance in the ODI format. He scored 201 runs across four matches at an average of 67 and also took nine wickets.

Against Oman, he created history by becoming the first USA player to score a fifty and take five wickets in the same ODI. His 68-run knock came after his career-best bowling figures and helped push the game into a Super Over. He also smashed an unbeaten 115 off just 67 balls against Canada, hitting 12 fours and 5 sixes in a memorable knock.

UAE skipper Muhammad Waseem led his team from the front in a historic T20I series win over Bangladesh. He scored 145 runs across the three-match series, including back-to-back fifties, and was named Player of the Series.

His standout innings came in the second T20I, where he powered 82 off 42 balls to help UAE secure a thrilling two-wicket win. Waseem also added 169 runs in five ODI appearances in May, proving his consistency in both formats.
