The International Cricket Council (ICC) has set the stage for an electrifying start to the Men's T20 World Cup with the launch of a captivating anthem and musical masterpiece. 

Composed by Grammy award-winning composer Lorne Balfe, this anthem marks a significant milestone in ICC's journey, symbolizing the essence of cricket across all its formats.

Balfe, renowned for his outstanding compositions in cinema and television, including Mission: Impossible and Black Widow, has crafted a sonic brand that encapsulates the dynamic spirit of cricket. Utilizing a blend of orchestral instruments, cricket equipment sounds, and in-game ambiance, the anthem promises a mesmerizing experience for cricket enthusiasts worldwide.

This groundbreaking anthem will debut at the opening match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, featuring an exciting clash between USA and Canada in Dallas, Texas, on June 1, 2024. 

Recorded at the prestigious Abbey Road Recording Studios in London, the composition resonates with the anticipation, triumph, and celebration synonymous with cricket's rich tapestry.

Balfe expressed his enthusiasm for leading this iconic project, describing the anthem as a tribute to the enduring spirit of the game.

The tournament will commence on 1 June with co-hosts USA taking on neighbors Canada, while fellow hosts the West Indies will play Papua New Guinea in Guyana on the second day of group play.
