The International Cricket Council has released the official promo on all social media platforms for the ODI World Cup 2023, set to begin on October 5th in India.

'All it takes one day" is the theme showcased in 2 minutes and 13 seconds video released by ICC. The video comprises a stunning montage of monumental visuals from past World Cup tournaments, with Shahrukh Khan's voice used in narration.

Amongst the visuals shown in the promo include the signature wicket celebration of Pakistan's left-arm pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi World Cup 2019.

The Bollywood star appears at the end of the video with the prestigious World Cup trophy saying, "For everything ever dreamt for, pushed for, lived for, it takes, one day."

Despite Shaheen's presence, Pakistani fans didn't find the promo too amusing as  Pakistan captain Babar Azam, who's currently the number 1 ODI batsman, was nowhere to be seen in the video. Here's how fans lashed out across Twitter.

This video is based on ICT and ECB. Feature Shaheen taking a wicket, Shadab getting hit for six, Wahab Riaz Getting smacked, and Mohammad Amir getting clean bowled. But The Number One ODI batsman isn’t there and also has a good record in World Cup 2019 He scored 474 runs. I Must… pic.twitter.com/SdjZBPqPLT

World number one batsman is not there? Peak biaseness

— Ch Abdullah (@ChAbdullah391) July 20, 2023

The amount of biasness in this video is unmatchable.

The World number 1 ranked ODI batter Babar Azam who's been ruling the 50 overs format for a long time has not been included in the official promo video of the ODI World Cup. Is it possibly because of the fact he's from Pakistan? https://t.co/G8ExOKOav6

It's more of an ipl promo than world cup promo. @ICC have some self respect. https://t.co/mRmhKfsXgg
