In a message posted on Instagram, Azam Siddique urged former cricketers to be more careful with their words
Pakistan batter Babar Azam’s father, Azam Siddique, has once again spoken out in support of his son.
In a message posted on Instagram, Azam Siddique urged former cricketers to be more careful with their words, warning that if they continue to speak negatively, someone might respond in a way they cannot handle.
"If someone responds, they may not be able to tolerate it," he wrote.
"You are part of the past and will never play again," he further added.
He further questioned the performance of those criticizing Babar Azam, asking, "What was their performance during their playing days? Take a look at the PCB website—it's a clear hint for the wise."
Azam Siddique also highlighted that despite being a member of the ICC Men's T20 Team of the Year, Babar Azam was dropped. However, he assured that Babar will make a strong comeback after performing in the upcoming National T20 Cup and Pakistan Super League (PSL).
He concluded by saying, "People say that a father speaks too much, but I am Babar's first and last coach. I am his spokesperson and mentor, and his most sincere well-wisher—his father."
Babar's father's post comes amid criticism from former cricketers, who have been criticizing the team following their early exit from the ICC Champions Trophy, despite being the host.
