Ihsanullah is not aiming to break the record for the fastest delivery set by Shoaib Akhtar.

Instead, his aim is to become a world class bowler and a regular member of Pakistan team.

"Shoaib Akhtar is our legend and nobody can break his record. I will try to bowl fast alongside working on good line and length," Ihsanullah said in a media interaction on Saturday at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Following his outstanding performance against Afghanistan, where he took six wickets and was the highest wicket-taker in the three-match T20I series, Ihsanullah has been retained in the T20I squad against New Zealand. Additionally, due to his impressive performance in domestic cricket, he has also received his first call-up for the ODI squad.

"I try to grab every given opportunity. I aim to perform according to my strength and win matches for my team," he said. "I am working with Umar Gul and trying to learn from him as much as I can."

During the series against Afghanistan, Ihsanullah gained attention when he struck Najibullah Zadran in the jaw with his delivery.

"I went to him and said sorry in Pushto," Ihsanullah shared with the media.
