Wicketkeeper-batsman played a blistering knock of 40 runs from 23 balls
Mohammad Haris played a blistering knock of 40 runs from 23 balls for Peshawar Zalmi against Multan Sultans on Friday in HBL PSL 8.
The wicketkeeper-batsman gave an ideal start to Zalmi, but they failed to capitalise on it and lost the game by 56 runs.
Ihsanullah played a big role in Sultans’ victory, taking three wickets, including the big wicket of Babar Azam. However, Haris was rueing the missed opportunity to face the lanky pacer for more deliveries.
“The way ball was coming onto my bat, Ihsanullah is lucky to escape. I understand him since I have kept wickets to him. We play together in KPK team, so I had an idea what he would bowl next. I had planned for him, but unfortunately I was only able to face two deliveries from him,” Haris said in post-match press conference.

Haris also heaped praise on Zalmi’s batting consultant, Kamran Akmal, for him improve his game against spinners.
“Kamran bhai has worked with me and helped in dealing with spinners. He has taught me three or four shots. He has also taught me how to use my feet against spinners. The six I hit against Khushdil, I would give credit to Kami bhai for that. I still need more improvement,” he said.
