Abdul Nasir, father of fast bowler Ihsanullah, has made an urgent appeal to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to relocate his son’s rehabilitation to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.

The plea comes as Ihsanullah, who has been battling an elbow injury for over a year, is facing a critical juncture in his cricket career.

In a statement to the media in Lahore, Abdul Nasir emphasized the inadequacies of the current treatment facilities in Swat.

"My son is not receiving adequate care in Swat due to the lack of facilities and qualified doctors. It is crucial for his rehabilitation that he be transferred to the National Cricket Academy (NCA), where he can receive the necessary treatment to save his career. I request that he be moved to Lahore to complete his treatment and resume playing," Abdul Nasir said.

Ihsanullah's father has commended the PCB chief for his efforts but has called for improved treatment for his son, citing inadequate facilities in Swat.

"Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi has expressed gratitude for the rehabilitation efforts in Swat but highlighted that Ehsanullah's career is at risk due to the lack of facilities there. It is requested that Mohsin Naqvi ensure Ihsanullah receives the best possible treatment to safeguard his future in cricket," he said.

Malik Nasir, coach of Ihsanullah in Lahore, has requested that his treatment be conducted at the NCA, as his career is currently at risk.

"Like other injured players, Ihsanullah should be rehabilitated at the National Cricket Academy (NCA). The PCB has provided excellent accommodation for injured players in a local hotel, but as the fastest bowler in Pakistan, Ihsanullah’s career is currently at stake. The PCB is requested to take necessary actions to safeguard Ihsanullah’s career and ensure he receives the best possible care and rehabilitation," Nasir said.

It is worth noting that Ihsanullah has been struggling with an elbow injury for more than a year, which required surgery. Following a check-up in England, a PCB committee raised concerns about the surgery and suggested an extended rehab period.

In response, Chairman Mohsin Naqvi issued instructions for Ihsanullah’s complete care, which initially involved rehabilitation in his hometown of Swat.
