Imad Wasim has heaped praise on Ihsanullah, after the Karachi Kings captain was heard using an abusive term for the Multan Sultans pacer in the last game between the both sides on Sunday in HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight.

While speaking in a press conference on Tuesday in Islamabad, the all-rounder explained the importance of PSL for younger players, who wants to showcase their talent and make a case for national selection.

"PSL is the biggest platform for youngsters. It is watched by everyone in the world. Young players get noticed because PSL is the toughest league in the world. Whoever performs in the PSL, it gets easier for them in international cricket," Imad said.

"After every season of PSL, a player gets noticed and goes on to represent Pakistan. Right now, Ihsanullah from Multan is bowling really well. These things get noticed and a player can change his life through PSL and it also ultimately benefits Pakistan," he added.

During the aforementioned game, which Karachi won by 66 runs, when Ihsanullah was coming onto the crease to bat in the 16th over, Imad can be heard in the background instructing Akif Javed to not bowl a full length delivery to Ihsanullah and only bowl bouncers to him. While passing these instructions, Imad can be heard using an obscene term.

Imad immediately placed a leg slip for Ihsanullah, who eventually survived the three balls from Akif and remained not out on zero as his side was bowled out for 101 runs in the next over.

The lanky pacer, who is the leading wicket taker (14) in the tournament, has been a thorn in Karachi Kings’ side, as he has bowled economical spells against them in last two games.
