Pakistan all-rounder will represent Winnipeg Hawks in the event
29-year-old Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim is set to become a part of the Global T20 Canada league and will leave for Canada tomorrow.
Imad was called up to replace West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, after the latter pulled out of the event due to injury.
It must be noted that the Pakistan Cricket Board did not select Imad for the Zimbabwe tour, claiming that he was nursing an injury.
Meanwhile batsman Umar Akmal— who was picked up by Edmonton Royals— is stranded in Lahore as he awaits his Canadian Visa.
The tournament—which began on June 28 is currently being played in Maple Leaf Cricket Club in King City, Ontario, with the final scheduled to take place on July 15.
