Pakistan cricketer, Imam-ul-Haq recently took to Instagram to share a touching message dedicated to his wife, Anmol Mehmood. The post, which featured a series of joyful pictures of the couple, quickly caught the attention of fans.

In his heartfelt caption, Imam reflected on the ups and downs of life, expressing how much easier it is to navigate them with his wife by his side.

"Life has its ups and downs, and it keeps moving. Learning to ride the waves is easier with this amazing woman by my side,” Imam wrote.

Imam also added a sweet note about his wife, calling her his ‘rock and support’.

“She makes everything beautiful - my rock and support,” he futher wrote.

One of the photos included a green mug with the word 'miyan' (husband) written on it, symbolizing their close relationship. The post was met with an outpouring of well-wishes from fans, who flooded the comments with blessings for the couple's future. Many also urged the cricketer to return to the field soon.

However, Imam’s return to international cricket might take a bit longer, as he was recently rested for the upcoming series against Bangladesh. Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood clarified that while Imam remains a key part of Pakistan's plans, he was given a break from this series to allow new talents to showcase their skills.

"Imam-ul-Haq is part of the plan but not part of the squad," Shan said in a pre-series presser.

"We want to give our players a fair chance. As a team, you have to send a message of continuity. So, we will try to back the players,” he further added.

The decision to rest Imam comes after a period of mixed performances. In his last two Test matches against Sri Lanka, he managed to score 57 runs, followed by 94 runs across the Perth and Melbourne Tests. The team is keen to give emerging players like Muhammad Huraira, who has excelled in domestic cricket, a chance to prove themselves on the international stage.

"We initially felt that it was our ideal chance to check Muhammad Huraira—what he could offer the Pakistan team after doing so well in domestic cricket over the last three or four years,” Shan concluded.
