Opening batter Imam-ul-Haq will depart from Lahore to Dubai today to join the team for the ICC Champions Trophy.
It is noteworthy that Imam-ul-Haq has been released by his domestic team, PTV, to participate in the Champions Trophy.
Imam-ul-Haq had been participating in the President’s Trophy on behalf of PTV. The top-order batter played an impressive innings of 158 runs in the President’s Trophy.
He is expected to take part in a practice session in Dubai this evening and will be available for selection for the upcoming match against India.
Imam-ul-Haq has been included in the squad to replace Fakhar Zaman, who sustained an injury during the fielding in the first match against New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy.
