The Boxing Day Test between India and Australia, part of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, is expected to break all previous records.

All tickets for the first day of the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne have been sold out. Cricket Australia confirmed that every ticket for the first day of the match has been purchased.

Historically, the crowd at the Boxing Day Test has never exceeded 86,000, except for the Ashes series. However, for the first time, a non-Ashes Boxing Day Test is expected to attract such a large number of spectators.

It is noteworthy that the Melbourne Cricket Ground has a seating capacity for nearly 100,000 fans.

The fourth Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be the Boxing Day Test, which traditionally begins on December 26 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
