Indian cricket team’s head coach Gautam Gambhir has unexpectedly left the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia to return to India due to personal reasons.

According to Indian media, Gambhir's departure is related to personal matters, and he is expected to rejoin the team before the second Test.

The second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, a pink-ball match, is scheduled to begin on December 6 in Adelaide.

India has had an excellent start to the series, securing a massive 295-run victory over Australia in the first Test in Perth. The win came on the fourth day, setting a strong tone for the series.

While Gambhir’s absence is a temporary setback, the Indian team remains focused on continuing their dominance in the prestigious Test series.
