Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra took a sharp dig at the England cricket team following India’s dominant performance over Bangladesh in the second Test at Green Park, Kanpur. While praising Team India’s exceptional batting, Chopra couldn’t resist mocking England's "Bazball" approach.

Despite losing two days to rain, India delivered an explosive performance after bowling Bangladesh out for 233 in their first innings. The Indian batters, determined to force a result, declared at 285-9 in just 34.4 overs with a remarkable run rate of 8.22, breaking multiple records along the way.

India’s innings shattered Test cricket records, including the fastest 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 runs by any team in the format. The aggressive intent from the batting unit left everyone in awe. Despite wickets falling, the team kept attacking, ensuring the runs piled up quickly.

Chopra, impressed by India’s performance, took to social media to both praise the team and take a jab at England. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he sarcastically suggested that England might try to claim credit for India’s aggressive approach, referencing their much-talked-about Bazball style.

"Fastest 50
Fastest 100
Fastest 150
Fastest 200
Fastest 250
Number 1 Test team on the WTC points table.

Can’t wait for the English team to take credit for transforming Indian Test cricket. Thank you. #IndvBan," Chopra wrote on X.

The “Bazball” strategy, introduced by England’s head coach Brendon McCullum, emphasizes aggressive batting in Test matches. Earlier this year, England’s opener Ben Duckett credited Bazball for inspiring Yashasvi Jaiswal’s attacking style during a series in India. However, England’s 1-4 loss in that series raised eyebrows, and Duckett’s comments sparked discussions, with former English cricketers like Nasser Hussain, Michael Vaughan, and David Lloyd criticizing him.
