India sealed a convincing 2-0 series victory against Bangladesh, chasing down a target of 95 in just over an hour on the final day of the second Test. The match saw India put up a stellar all-round performance, particularly from Ravindra Jadeja, who took three key wickets to break Bangladesh's resistance.

Bangladesh started the day at 26 for 2, trailing by 26 runs. However, their hopes of setting a challenging target quickly faded when Jadeja triggered a collapse. He dismissed Najmul Hossain Shanto, Litton Das, and Shakib Al Hasan in quick succession, reducing Bangladesh from 91 for 3 to 94 for 7. Jasprit Bumrah and R Ashwin also contributed with three wickets each, bowling out Bangladesh for 146.

Shadman Islam and Shanto tried to fight back with a 55-run stand, and Shadman played some attractive shots, but their efforts weren’t enough. Once Jadeja struck, the rest of the batting lineup crumbled under pressure. Bumrah finished off the tail, leaving India with a manageable chase.

India’s chase began aggressively, with Yashasvi Jaiswal leading the charge. Jaiswal smashed a quickfire 43-ball fifty, setting the tone for India’s comfortable pursuit of the target. Although India lost three wickets, including captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant hit the winning runs to secure the win.

Jadeja’s all-round effort and Jaiswal’s brisk batting were the highlights of the day, as India extended their lead at the top of the World Test Championship (WTC) points table with a dominant 2-0 series win over Bangladesh.
