India faces team selection dilemma ahead of second Test match against Australia

The second Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia will commence on December 6 at Adelaide Oval. However, the Indian team management is likely to face a selection dilemma ahead of the match. 

With the return of captain Rohit Sharma, who is set to open the innings alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal, a key question looms over the batting order: **Where will KL Rahul bat?** This is a significant decision for the team, given Rahul's role in the squad.

Jasprit Bumrah, who led the Indian team in the first Test, stated that the focus has now shifted to the day-night pink-ball Test in Adelaide. "The Perth Test is behind us. It's time for a fresh start in Adelaide," said Bumrah. 

He also praised Virat Kohli for his contributions, emphasizing Kohli’s importance to the team. "It's not Kohli who needs us, it's us who need Kohli," Bumrah remarked, highlighting the former captain's pivotal role in the side.

Meanwhile, after Australia’s disappointing loss in the first Test, the Australian media has harshly criticized their national team. Analysts and former cricketers have heavily targeted the top-order batting, questioning their form and strategy. 

The spotlight is also on Steven Smith, with many wondering if the star batter can rediscover his old form in time to make a difference in the series.
