Pakistan and India will face off in a thrilling encounter on November 1 at 11:30 AM (PST)
The highly anticipated Hong Kong Cricket Sixes tournament is set to return after a six-year hiatus, from November 1 to 3, 2024, at the Tin Kwong Road Cricket Ground. The event will see 12 nations, including cricketing giants India and Pakistan, vying for glory in six-a-side matches.
The 12 teams are divided into four pools, with each pool featuring three teams. A round-robin format will determine the top two teams from each group, who will advance to the quarterfinals. Quarterfinal winners will progress to the Cup semifinals, while the losing teams will compete in the Plate semifinals. Meanwhile, the bottom teams in each pool will contest in the Bowl Competition.
A total of 29 matches will be held over the course of the three days. Notably, a Women’s Exhibition Match will take place on the final day to mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
Defending champions South Africa, who clinched the 2017 title by defeating Pakistan in the final, will aim to add another trophy to their collection. They currently share the top spot for most titles with England, both boasting five championships. Pakistan follows with four titles, while Sri Lanka, Australia, India, and the West Indies have each won once.
The tournament’s most thrilling contest, India vs Pakistan, is scheduled for November 1 at 11:30 AM IST, promising a high-octane battle between the arch-rivals.
