India vs Ireland in T20 World Cup 2024, Preview, Time, Venue, Squads

India, boasting a star-studded batting lineup with Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Rishabh Pant, will begin their T20 World Cup campaign against Ireland on Wednesday at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. 

The match scheduled to start at 9:30 AM local time.

Despite missing Rinku Singh, India has a well-rounded squad with experienced all-rounders like Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya. Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav lead a potent bowling attack, supported by Mohammed Siraj and Arshdeep Singh.

Ireland, fresh off a victory against Pakistan, will look to pull off another upset. Skipper Paul Stirling, Andrew Balbirnie, and Harry Tector are key players in their batting lineup. All-rounders Curtis Campher and George Dockrell offer both batting and bowling firepower.
