Indian media has reignited propaganda against the hybrid model, claiming that Pakistan's women’s cricket team is unlikely to participate in the ICC Women’s World Cup.

According to Indian media reports, doubts loom over Pakistan’s qualification for the tournament. The reports suggest that Pakistan’s participation in the ICC Women’s World Cup is uncertain due to their failure to secure a direct qualification spot.

International sources indicate that Pakistan's women’s team has not directly qualified for the event and faces a tough challenge in the qualification rounds. Qualification for the Women’s World Cup is determined by the ICC Women’s Championship 2022-25, where the top five teams, along with host India, will qualify directly.

Currently ranked eighth on the points table, Pakistan’s chances of improving their ranking have diminished as all their series have concluded. Two teams will qualify through the Women’s World Cup Qualifier 2025.

As of now, teams including Pakistan, Ireland, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh, and New Zealand are likely to compete in the qualifying round. Pakistan will face stiff competition, especially after losing recent ODI series against New Zealand, West Indies, and Bangladesh.

It is worth noting that the ICC Women’s World Cup will also be played under the hybrid model. Pakistan has confirmed that their matches will be held at a neutral venue, as the team will not travel to India for the event.
