The middle-order batsman is suffering from a back injury
Changes are still expected in Pakistan’s T20 World Cup squad as Chief Selector Mohammad Wasim met with captain Babar Azam and vice-captain Shadab Khan for discussion.
There are concerns over top-order batsman Shoaib Maqsood's recent back injury, which can hurt his chances of being included in the squad.
A decision on whether Maqsood will be part of the squad will be taken after assessing his medical report, who was taken for an MRI following the injury.
ICC Men's T20 World Cup-bound Pakistan squad will hold a seven-day training and conditioning camp under bio-secure protocols at the National High Performance Centre and LCCA ground, Lahore, from Sunday, October 10.
Today, the squad members, along with their family members, will join the bio-secure and undergo Covid-19 testing upon arrival. After returning negative tests, the players will be allowed to commence their preparations from Sunday with the gym sessions at the National High Performance Centre (NHPC).
