Following Pakistan's defeat to New Zealand in the third ODI, details have emerged regarding Pakistani cricketer Khushdil Shah’s altercation with a spectator. According to sources, the spectator had used offensive language in Pashto directed at the Pakistan team, and it was initially reported that the individual was an Afghan national.

Sources indicate that an investigation into the incident is underway, with the team manager handling the matter. This is being considered a serious issue, and the authorities are looking into it.

After Pakistan's loss in the T20 series, the team faced a whitewash in the ODI series.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) sources have stated that they stand by Khushdil Shah regarding this matter.

The Pakistan team management has condemned the offensive remarks made by foreign spectators towards the national players. It was reported that these spectators used inappropriate language about the cricketers present on the field.

In response to the anti-Pakistan chants, Khushdil Shah asked the foreign spectators to stop. However, when he intervened, Afghan spectators responded with further offensive language in Pashto.

Subsequently, two Afghan spectators attempted to physically confront Khushdil Shah, following which, on the complaint of the Pakistan team, the two individuals were escorted out of the stadium.
