Former cricketer Inzamamul Haq believes Pakistan will bounce back in the second ODI of the three-match series against England on Saturday at Lord’s.

Pakistan were outplayed in the first match of the three-game ODI series on Thursday, after losing in convincing fashion by nine wickets.

“Pakistan’s performance wasn’t up to the mark but after a long time the Pakistan team looked like a team to me. People will find it odd since they got out on 142. However, when I saw the entire Pakistan line-up, it looked like a team. Although they won in South Africa, but they didn’t look like a team there and were heavily dependent on one or two players,” Inzamam said on his YouTube channel.

“Don’t focus too much on first ODI’s performance but overall I am very hopeful that this Pakistan team will perform a lot better,” he said.

“My message to Babar Azam is to keep your team motivated. These types of performances can happen. Big teams are those that make a comeback after this sort of performance. I can criticize their performance but I think this team is a lot better than what they showed in first ODI,” he concluded.

The second match of the three-game series will be played at Lord’s on Saturday.
