Inzamam threatens to resign again, completes hat-trick

Chief Selector Inzamam-ul-Haq has completed the hat-trick on his threat to resign. This time, he is dissatisfied with some of the selection matters, including the appointment of the junior coach. 

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had appointed Inzamam on August 7, and within a month, there were two occasions when he threatened to resign. Even after the selection of squad for the series against Afghanistan and the Asia Cup, he did not receive a contract, which left him disappointed. He expressed his intention to resign, but then in a meeting with the Chief of the Management Committee, Zaka Ashraf, the matters were resolved. I

Inzamam had demanded a monthly fee of 2.5 million rupees for a three-year contract, which was agreed upon.

During the Asia Cup matches in Lahore, he expressed his dissatisfaction once again. He demanded full authority to grant NOCs to players for leagues. Now, for the third time, he has threatened to resign. 

Sources revealed that the PCB has been persistent in convincing Inzamam due to difficulties in finding high-profile former cricketers to fill his role, and they expect it to continue it this way. On the other hand, some board officials believe that there are many big names in the country, and if Inzamam does not want to work, they should let him go. In any case, if he wanted to resign, he could have done so without making such threats.
