Former Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq has once again spoken openly about the struggles of Pakistan cricket. He has warned the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that if they don’t take proper steps soon, the team’s performance will continue to decline.

"In the past two years, the performance of the Pakistan team has been on a decline. If we don't work in the right direction, we will continue to fall further," Inzamam said, as reported by Cricket Pakistan.

He criticized the frequent changes in the team’s management, coaching staff, and players since the 2023 ODI World Cup. Inzamam believes that these constant changes are not the solution and urged the board to find the real problems instead of making quick decisions.

"Changing management, coaches, and players repeatedly will not solve the problem. We need to sit down and think about where the mistakes are being made," he said.

He also pointed out that too many changes make it difficult for players to gain confidence. "Instead of making too many changes, we need to think carefully about where things are going wrong. If there are constant changes, players won't gain the confidence they need, and the situation will remain the same," he added.

Talking about Babar Azam, who has faced a lot of criticism recently, Inzamam backed the batter and called for support from the board.

"Babar Azam is a top player. Everyone goes through a rough patch, but the national team hasn't been playing good cricket for the past few months," he said.

He urged the PCB to trust the management and players, working together to fix the problems. "Trust the management and the players, and work together to identify where the mistakes are," he added.
