The sources also revealed that Mumbai Indians are likely going to be the new owners of a Cape Town team while Chennai Super Kings will own a Johannesburg-based team.

In addition, a Pretoria-based franchise will be owned by Delhi Capitals while Lucknow Giants are interested in a Durban-based franchise.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals will be the new owners of Port Elizebeth and Paarl-based teams respectively.
