The rumors have been there of Mickey Arthur returning as head coach of the Pakistan men's team for the past few days.

The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee, Najam Sethi, has given an update about the possibility of Mickey Arthur's return as head coach of the national men’s side.

While speaking to the media in Karachi, Sethi said that the appointment of coaches will be finalised in the next few days.

“Arthur is currently busy with Derbyshire. We have already contacted him and asked for his opinion on coaches for Pakistan team,” said Sethi. “The final call on coaches will be made during the next 8-10 days.”

“Pakistan team was on top during Arthur’s tenure. The team was disciplined and players were always putting in the hard yards. Arthur also supported Babar Azam during the early stages of his career,” he added.

Remember, Arthur was in charge of the Pakistan team for three years in the past as well having taken up the mantle in 2016.

However, the PCB had decided to not renew the contracts of Arthur and his support staff, following the team's fifth-place finish at the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2019.
