Former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly criticized Pakistan's performance, asserting that the current Pakistan team lacks the competitive spirit of their predecessors.

Ganguly's remarks came after India secured a convincing victory over Pakistan in a match held in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

Despite a promising start for Pakistan, reaching a strong position at 155/2, their batting order experienced a significant collapse and was eventually dismissed for a mere 191 runs.

Expressing surprise at the evident lack of temperament in Pakistan's batting display, Ganguly emphasized the contrast between the present Pakistani team and their opponents India faced during his playing days.

While speaking to Times Now, Ganguly expressed surprise at the evident lack of temperament in Pakistan's batting display and further stated that it feels the Pakistan side of old was a lot more competitive than the current one.

"During our time Pakistan was a different team, this is not the type of Pakistan team we used to play. This team can’t handle the pressure during the batting. It will be hard for Pakistan to come back in this World Cup with this batting," Ganguly said.

Ganguly's critique underscores concerns about Pakistan's ability to handle pressure and make a strong comeback in the ongoing World Cup, given their performance in the recent match against India where they lost by seven wickets.
